Destination New Orleans

June 16th is quickly approaching. The whole point of this trip is to laugh and have good times with friends (and, of course, to capture as many incredibly flattering photos as possible) so opt in and out as you see fit. I prefer you tipsy and happy.
THURSDAY, JUNE 15 - Early bird chilling
Guess who'll you find sitting poolside at the W Hotel French Quarters. I'm also heading to Bottom of the Cup midday to get my fortune told by the legendary Otis. (Yes, you can be named Otis and be legendary for something other than soul singing). I'll have a dinner reservation made at some fancy-schmancy N'awlins haute cuisine location - if you're interested, give me a shout.
FRIDAY, JUNE 16 - Meet up in the Marigny Neighborhood
Continued morning poolside chilling for this gal (I can hold bags for those arriving early). This is a great chance to do some neighborhood site-seeing before the weekend crowds descend. I've provided a list of things to do in the next post.
12-1pm - AirBnB check-in
We're split between 3 houses (yours truly is working out the house assignments). Please post your arrival and departure times/dates in the comments or send to me via email so that I can assign you to the proper house.
**NoLA nights (It begins)**
7pm - A quick stop at my favorite BBQ spot, The Joint (Bywater). Then, off to explore all the glorious sounds of Frenchmen street.
SATURDAY, JUNE 17 - The white party...and no I don't mean Republican
Enjoy your morning - I'm off to brunch with my family.
1pm - City Park (Culture before debauchery, of course)
2pm - meet up at Morning Call (in City Park) for legendary beignets.
**NoLA nights (NOTE: White outfits rule the night)**
5:15pm - Jackson Brewery Bistro Bar at 620 Decatur Street
(Erica's Dark Secret Plan - I am so curious!!!)
7:30/7:45 - Dinner at Horn's followed by drinks and good music at Mimi's on Marigny starting at 9:30pm. This night...well, it ends when it ends.
SUNDAY, JUNE 18
9am-1pm (optimistic start time) - Head to the Ace Hotel Rooftop for poolside drinks
2pm - Check out for 2408 Dauphine Street (luggage can be left under the stairs but house has to be vacated - we'll resettle folks remaining at the other houses.
**NoLA nights (It's not quite over)**
8:30/9pm - Enjoying the musicians at Preservation Jazz Hall. You can wait in line day of or pay in advanced for seats (I'm doing the latter).
